Cheating Is Chicken

An interesting correlation: college students who score highest on tests for courage are also least likely to cheat. I like that connection. The non-cheaters are the ones who are spunky enough to travel under their own steam.

With two daughters in college who are both pretty courageous, I am really glad to know this!

I suppose knowing that you may not do well on something, but being willing to face the consequences anyway, is much more courageous than cheating.

It makes sense to me, too. But I never thought of the connection at all.

I'd always seen it as a matter of conscience: not stealing somebody else's work, not lying, that sort of thing.
