Portents, Omens, and Signs

After my ten minute meditation break this afternoon, I opened my eyes and saw a tiny rainbow over the doorjamb. A little comet. Or an idea arriving. We get to interpret signs and symbols as we wish.

Basic principle of interpretation of all things: choose the option that's the most helpful, the one that would do the most to encourage creativity, spur decisive action, lead to good things.

A rainbow comet on a gold wall heading straight for my desk is the very embodiment of optimism. It is A Good Sign.

Note from Rainbow Links: "The rainbow is a symbol of hope, security, and dreams for future teaching and healing. The rainbow has ancient meanings. The seven colors symbolize not only the rainbow in the sky, but also the spiritual chakras for human and world healing. The circular mandala symbolizes the endless flow of the colorful life force."

Love it!!

Last night I had the need for some guidance on the whole publication thing with the novels-no-longer-in-progress-but-now-in-waiting.

I have a nifty little book that I often open to a random page for "advice."

Last night's quote:

"Stop sitting there with your hands folded, looking on, doing nothing.

Get into action and live this full and glorious life.

Now.

You have to do it."

I ended up editing the third novel-in-waiting until 2 a.m.

:)

And - talk about a good omen - I just looked up from the computer screen and three of my horses were standing right outside my window!

Three horses, three novels. Perfect, Billie!

Do you know what made the4 rainbow? Do you have a prism? Sometimes the crystal on my watch does that.

I have a variety of odds and ends hanging in one window. I think it was the glass ball. It has done little light tricks before, but never anything that looked quite like this one.

Peggy, there is perfection in how the light might hit an object at the exact right moment so that it synchronizes with the exact moment when one might take a deep breath and open their eyes. You saw what you were meant to see at the moment when you were meant to see it. Absolute perfection.

I react with optimism to rainbows, pennies on the ground, and bird feathers in the grass. I also think even numbers (as opposed to odd numbers)are lucky for me.

And the perfect little rainbow comet went away so quickly that I had a chance to shoot two pictures and it was gone. I'll likely be watching that spot on other days.

I like your new picture, Debbie.
