Blog Free

The tune that's running through my head is "Born Free," which is probably from my Peter, Paul & Mary days.

Blog Free, however, is my current set of lyrics. As I was just saying to one of my brothers on the phone, the cool thing about this kind of writing is that it's almost unlimited.

No editors. No revisions. No meeting market requirements. No deadlines. No need to stick to the subject.

Plus a conversation results.

It's like a pulpit without all the complications of a church. Or other similar comparisons. Free swim--I think I may like that one the best. (Note the chihuahua in the orange bikini.)

After more than 35 years of freelancing, to be able to just maunder around in language. Say things any which way. Well, it does good things for my lungs. I can feel the freedom physically.

Wow, what a pleasure this is.

The only time I've ever had to be careful about what I write was in school and in my business. The freedom of the blog is terrific by comparison.

I thought you were going to say that you were stopping the blog....LOL

(I pity that poor chihuahua)

Sometimes I feel like my blog (which keeps my family updated on my travels around the world) is a horrible taskmaster, though. I do enjoy writing it, but sometimes there's just times I don't feel like doing it.

Mainly, I guess, it's the pictures, and getting them all prepped and ready for prime time. The text is comparatively quick and easy...

How does one reach your blog, K.B? Or is it a private one?

On days when I don't feel like writing a post, I just don't. Which works out that I miss the occasional weekend day.

No, not stopping, Kenju. It would be like giving up Mickey D's Sweet Tea.

It's a private one, with a password. If you like, I can send you a password of your very own. :) But you have to promise not to reveal my *gasp* real name...

Yes, do send it. I'll never tell.
