Point of View

As any writer of fiction knows, a moment can look radically different from each different point of view.

Here's my little-rubber-kayak level point of view of a "flat" lake.

Big paddle.

Tiny sailboat.

Significant-sized waves.

I like this particular viewpoint very much. But any time the view's not good, we likely have some option to stand at a slightly different place.

Looks like a good vantage point to me!

The blues are so pure and make me so happy. Are you in a kayak?

I agree, Kenju.

Yes, Anon, I'm in the kayak. A little one-person inflatable. I love the idea of colors being pure, also saturated, which sounds particularly rich.

Peggy, great photo! I like seeing the lake from your perspective. I can see why you enjoy Kayaking so much! I also like what you said about perspective. Sometimes we feel so stuck when things aren't going well and we don't immediately figure out that if we just take a few steps in another direction, that things might look much brighter.

Thanks for that simple reminder!

Hugs,
Deb

Just being on or near water can help too, I think, Debbie. I suspect you know a bit about that yourself.

Yes, water can be amazingly healing. Just looking out on a huge body of water gives me a sense of peace like nothing else can do. I imagine that is why you enjoy kayaking by yourself so much.
