A Taste of My Plan B Life

New York has called me and I need to cancel the Get-Published workshop that I announced in my last post.

Thanks to those who expressed interest. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

The situation: I got an offer I couldn't refuse: 2.5 weeks plant-sitting and being a "New York writer" in an apartment on the Upper West Side. Great chance to see some colleagues--even though it's August-- and lead some of my Plan B life. (If I had two lives, one would of course be in Manhattan and, as it happens, on the Upper West Side.) So when the Big App calls, I go.

Do you have a Plan B life? Do you ever visit it? (A virtual Second Life on line doesn't count.)

No, and I wish I did! If you need an assistant, I'm available....LOL

I'll certainly keep the assistant offer in mind, Kenju.

What would your Plan B life be, if you had one?

(My psychologist husband sometimes asks me: If you were mad, what would you be mad about? It's an amazingly revealing question.

My Plan B would be to live oceanfront with an office that overlooksed the sea through sprawling windows. My office would be filled with my scrapbooking materials, my computer to continue writing, my camera to capture any moment that drifts my way, my watercolor paints and books...ahhh, that is my Plan B; so why am I still living Plan A?

Sounds lovely, Tracy. Maybe you can work parts of that into your current life.

My brother Franc has an office much like that, but it's for writing mortgages, which is a long way from watercolors.
